MUSICALSESSIONS To celebrate theHomage Exhibition, therewas a session 23 of chambermusic led by the pianist Ricard Vives, the vio- linistMariàPerellóand thecellist JoaquimPereMarés,who madeup theBarcelonaTrio.TheyplayedBeethovenduring the first part, Saint-Saëns in the second, and Schumann in the third 24 . On the 20th of November, coinciding with the closingof theexhibition 25 , therewasapiano retical by Joan Marlet, prize-winner at Paris’s Schola Cantorum 26 , who playedworks byBach, Beethove, Schumann, Albéniz,Wag- ner, Liszt, Grieg andDebussy. Marlet distinguishedhimself inhis interpretationof Albéniz’s El Puerto, andwas greatly praised 27 . Just as in theBarcelonaTrio’s session, therewas a largeaudience. AFTERTHEEXHIBITION At the Governing Board’s meeting at end of November a bulletin was noted from the President of the Museum Board confirming theacquisitionof the chosenworks; and of amemo from the Sons of JoséTeixidor andCo. confirm- ingreceptionof theexhibitionposterandposting it in their establishment; the offer by the musician Joan Marlet; in addition, they had taken the opportunity of the civil gov- ernor being at the headquarters of the Circle to offer him the title of honorary member, to which he had gladly ac- cepted. Finally, itwas agreed todirect trade to Sorolla and Anglada-Camarasa as thanks for their cooperation in the Goséexhibition 28 . In the Governing Board’s session on the 13th of Decem- ber there is mention of a telegram from the Marquess de la Vega Inclán for Sorolla, who communicated such to the Circleand read: PleasesendCommisionandOrganisingBoardGosséExhibition,His Majesty heard Homage, would thank to keep reminder of famous draughtsman reserving if possible nos 129, 120 and97 from cata- logue Les cadeaux deNöel , Adriana y Emilia and Saint Cloud .
