22 'At my age I can't afford the luxury of being sombre. I like to work and tell what I know, what surrounds me, and painting helps me to be in harmony with life, with people. I acknowledge that I have a lot of patience with them and am willing and delicate even with the more irritating ones, because I need to be in contact with the real world, and art is a good company.
