De la Naturaleza al Cosmos - INARI M.

FROM NATURE TO COSMOS PRESENTATIONS Inspiration M y fascination with art comes frommy adolescence (or maybe before). At that stage where the bubbling up of ideas was almost overflowing, abstract images with wonderful colours and shapes appeared before me. Due to my love for science, some works combining art and science in a truly interesting contin- uum appeared before me. I used to draw continuously on school notebooks and designed the covers of my books with spectacular collages. This proliferation of ideas and images became so overflowing that, at that age, I was afraid of it. When I read a biography of the great masters likeVan Gogh, I became afraid of losing my sanity. I decided then to study a degree and develop a profession that would anchor me to earth and “guarantee” that sanity that was tremendously necessary at that bustling stage, so I graduated in Psychology and Ed- ucation Sciences. However, in addition to exercising my profession, my artistic side was filtering through and manifesting itself in various areas of my life: furniture design, wall painting or artistic photography (I even trained as a professional photographer and set up a laboratory at home to create photos and special montages, both in black and white, and in colour). I was always interested in the theory and history of art and culture, as well as its evolution from prehis- tory to the present. Although I was self-taught at first, I finally decided to learn pictorial technique in a rigorous way so as to be able to express my ideas with quality, and in any style. I dabbled in almost all the techniques and, enrolled in several art schools of important social standing: La Massana, Barcelona Acad- emy of Art, el Visor, Institut Barcelonès d’Art, etc., as well as other smaller ones which, depending on their speciality, allowed me to rigorously learn different techniques and pictorial styles. Then came the Exhibitions; some collective and some individual (which I am very happy with because they have been very well received), and also the prizes and publications in some magazines. This book is MOTIVATED by my fascination with the NATURE that surrounds us; by its beauty, its gen- erosity and its ability to contribute so selflessly, guaranteeing our survival. Every time I observe her, she moves me and admires me in all her manifestations. It is this amazement at the exuberance of nature that leads me toTHE COSMOS —equally beautiful and immense, albeit negligible at the same time— and to the seed of our Creation. It deals with what moves us as human beings and connects with some of our desires (like the desire to fly or to know things beyond our prehistory), and with everything we can learn from both successes and mistakes.
