El encantador coqueteo editorial previo había engendrado algo mucho más recio y formidable. El maestro y buen amigo Vergés, grabador de extraordinario oficio y magnífico pintor, vistió de gala la portada de un número que ya apuntaba formas más ambiciosas gracias a la ilusión y esfuerzo de unos cuantos más, magníficos colaboradores, activistas del refinamiento y la elegancia, artífices del buen gusto y la belleza. Gracias a ello, no sólo proseguimos el camino que nos habíamos marcado hacía tres años, sino que pudimos seguir siendo leales a la filosofía de no dejarnos obnubilar por opciones fáciles y mercantilistas, intentando hacer acopio de pareceres o tendencias bien argumentados, defendiendo un arte honesto que es, en sí, fin y medio. MASTERY From this issue on, an indescribable feeling of optimism washed over us. The initial charming flirt with publishing had turned into something more vigorous and formidable. Our friend and master Vergés, a printer and painter of extraordinary talent and magnificence, dressed our issue cover with a piece that looked towards more ambitious forms thanks to the eagerness and effort of several other fantastic collaborators. These were activists of refinement of elegance, architects of good taste and beauty. Thanks to this, not only could we carry on down the path we had marked three years previously, but we could remain loyal to the principle of not letting our judgement be clouded by easy or purely financial options. Thus we brought together informed opinions or trends, defending an honest art that is, by itself, both the means and the end.
