Aunque hasta el año 1984 la exposición de las obras del Concurso Internacional de Dibujo de la Fundación Ynglada-Guillot (creada en 1959), tenía lugar en el Palacio de la Virreina, y los dibujos ganadores hasta esa fecha se conservan en el Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña, desde el año 1989, la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Jordi se convirtió en el Patronato de la Fundación, por lo que también custodia las obras ganadoras a partir de ese mismo año. Con el actual patrocinio de la Fundación Vila Casas, la 51ª edición del prestigioso galardón ha recaído en uno de nuestros artistas destacados, Jordi Díaz Alamà (Barcelona, 1986), con su obra titulada Artista que no se vende . La emblemática sala Volart de Vila Casas expone, junto al dibujo ganador, una muestra de algunas de las obras finalistas y seleccionadas, entre las que cabe destacar la de otro de nuestros artistas destacados, el galardonado retratista y arquitecto Fernando García-Monzón (Zaragoza, 1957). Fundación Vila Casas Although until 1984 the exhibition of works from the Ynglada-Guillot Foundation International Drawing Prize (founded in 1959) were exhibited in Virreina Palace and the winning drawings were kept in the National Museum of Catalan Art, from 1989 onwards the Sant Jordi Royal Academy of Fine Arts became the Patron of the Foundation and as such kept the winning works from then on. With the current sponsorship of the Vila Casa Foundation, the 51st Edition of this prestigious prize has been won by one of our selected artists, Jordi Díaz Alamà (Barcelona, 1986), with his piece entitled The Artist Who Doesn’t Sell Out. The emblematic Volart hall of Vila Casas exhibits a selection of some of the chosen works alongside the winning piece, amongst which we must mention another of our artists, the prize-winning portraitist and architect Fernando García-Monzón (Zaragoza, 1957).
