LLEI D'ART 10

The exhibition ends with a space that brings together a collection of living sculptors who, although they do not belong to a single movement either by age or by aesthetic, have maintained the human figure as a focal point for their sculptural production. Here we find J. M. Subirachs, Marta Solsona, Jorge Egea, Mer, Rosa Parés Petrus, Pérez Ripoll, Rosa Martínez Brau, Artur Aldomà, Patricia Riveras, Gerard Mas, Ricard Mira, Jo- sep Blanch, Adrià Arnau, Pérez Plaza, Rosa Ferrandiz and Sergi Oliva, amongst others. We cannot leave out a third sculpture exhibition to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the birth of the artist Joan Borrell Nicolau (La Pobla de Segur, 1888 - Bar- celona, 1951) with the retrospective exhibition Borrell i Nicolau: Essential that opens on the 13th of August in the Exhibition Hall of his native town and will later travel to the Ilerda Studies Centre in Lérida. If, as it seems, fate has helped the almost miraculous rebirth of interest in sculpture, let us enjoy the marvels created over the past two centuries.
