The fascination with visible nature has always been one of art’s greatest pursuits. The artist’s attempt to represent the invisible shows us her particular visible of topics as important as The Beginning of Everything or Capturing Life. With strokes that show the absence of paintbrush or spatula she achieves a frenetic, chaotic movement of lights and colours and follow each other to create a disturbing, worrying whole that, paraphrasing the artist, ‘describes infinite paths with neither entrances nor exits that is a bridge of all time, creating a place in space where ashes stop being dust, air stops being breath and the sunrise the beginning. Antonio Serés Juan Ramón Jover In the shelter of the nymphs The free representation of mythological characters is an artistic option that requires a refresher course in their symbolism. The nymphs –considered daughters of Zeus– embody the kind, good part of things, meanings and metaphysical acceptance of events. They are present in both the formal imaginary and in the figuration of the abstract conception of the classical (Greek) super-human universe. The deities painted by Jover seem ethereal because of the texture he has created using the layering of various coats of flecked coloured ink onto white or neutral-coloured backgrounds. Dynamic, svelte and elegant figurations that seem to be levitating in a world created by the author, who seems encourages their use as a talisman as the viewer wishes. La fascinación por la naturaleza visible siempre ha sido una de las grandes persecuciones del arte. El intento de representación de lo invisible que la autora proyecta, deja traslucir su particular visión de temas tan trascendentales como El principio de todo o Atrapando la vida. Con trazos que denotan la ausencia de pincel o espátula consigue un movimiento frenético y caótico de luces y colores que se suceden en las partes para conformar un todo inquietante, perturbador que, parafraseando a la propia autora, «describe infinitos caminos sin entradas ni salidas y es puente de todo tiempo, otorgando en espacio un lugar donde la ceniza deja de ser polvo, el aire aliento y el amanecer el comienzo.» Antonio Serés Juan Ramón Jover Al amparo de las ninfas La representación libre de personajes mitológicos es una opción artística que requiere un refresco literario de su simbolismo. Las ninfas –hijas de Zeus– encarnan la parte bondadosa de las cosas, el sentido y favor metafísico de los sucesos. Están presentes tanto en el imaginario formal como en el figurado de la concepción abstracta del universo supra-humano clásico (griego). Las deidades de Jover se antojan etéreas por la textura conseguida mediante superposición de diferentes capas de salpicados de tinta de color en zonas geofórmicas sobre fondos blancos o neutros. Figuraciones dinámicas, esbeltas y elegantes que parecen levitar en un mundo propio del autor que anima a utilizarlas como talismán al gusto del espectador.
