I imagine it just doesn’t come together at the first go, and that the undoubtedlywell-trained and long-suffering lady has tobe slatheredwithmany pots of paint before thedesired effect clicks intoplace. Afterwards comes the arduous jobof composing thepreviousmental image to complete thework. The result is apiece of workwith amodern, clean, suggestive, narrative anddynamic aesthetic. It is a snapshot of an entire creativeprocess that reeks of honesty and a good hand, and thus captures our attention. Literalmente, es la conjunción de la pintura y la fotografía. El retratode unamodelodesnuda que recibe un aluvión de pintura a bocajarro es la simplicidad con la que el artista nos transmite su comunicado. Previamente lo hacía ya invadiendo las modelos con agua, luz o ropajes. Ahora es el color amarillo, azul o rojo de la pintura y las formas que el azar consigue, y Rodríguez elige. Es de suponer que no sucede a la primera intentona. Muchos cubos se tendrán que tirar sobre la sinduda entrenada y sufrida señora hasta conseguir la estéticadeseada.Despuéssobrevieneel arduo trabajodecomponer la imagenmental previapara completar la obra. El resultado es una obra de arte con una estética contemporánea, limpia, sugerente, narrativa y dinámica.
