What wouldwebase our choices onwhenmakingdecisions?Thedual system that we havebeen educated in is beingdismounted, to be replacedby amore unpredictable, perhapsmore emotional, primitive, noological one. According to JohnMaxtell, the concept of reality – understood as existence – has nomeaningwithout apoint of reference, i.e. ameans (universe) referred toby amind that conceives of it, which is always subjective. It is ourmindwhichprojects our concepts of things onto them, givingmeaning to the universe, always creating the existence or realitywe are living in. For this reason, images are apriori more important in the result of our perception and reality. The imaginations of real objects from thepoint of the unreal or virtual imaginary is thebase of our learning and thus of our identity. Unreality arises as abase for the constructionof identity/personalitywhat we believe tobe our own. Fantasy as an internal painter that “somehow looks inside themselves for the images of the objects” –I would add, or of the concepts. Socrates usedPlato’s wordswhen conversingwithProtarch inPhilebus. We are all internal painters of the soul whenwe know how tobe spectators, admirers of the essence of our surroundings, of what affects us. Knowinghow to use a clear-eyed look that created imaginaries like a trunk of rawmaterial tobe able to see theworld – even if it is basedon unrealities – is a link that we should have never forgotten. Tobase anddefendwhat is filed away inourmindwith a random sectionof arbitrary and abstract words is toomuchof a risk for the rational man. Andon the other hand, lettingoneself be ledby intuitionwithout an analytical process of the environment and neglecting tomanage your emotions turns you into amarginal thug. Accepting the reality of the unrealitieswebase our experience on canbe a useful way tobetter understand theworld. I hope so! Magic, hermetismor poetic theology donot have a logical verbal language that renders them understandable, but yet they still exist. The marvellous human capacity for imagination can leadus to sublime aesthetic experiences that cause changes in the criteria necessary to attain abetter world.Welcome art! Pleasepenetrate as deep as you can to improve andbetter these self-harming behaviours. Perception is not unique to each individual at any moment. There canbe various perceptions of the same object at the same time and space. It is a technical affirmationof philosophy andquantum physics. The conjunctionof theory andnew artistic technique using a spherificationof acrylicpaint by increasing its surface tension and layeredon topof various bases is theprocess ofmy artisticproject. An artisticproject basedon the change of perception before the envisioningof a surface (piece of art) at the verymoment. As such, I doubt realitywithout using the visual effects of trompe l’oeil of another time. The viewer can experiencedifferent perceptions of the samepaint at the same time. Are they real, unreal… or both? 96
