Miguel Ángel Moya Journeying across the limit Born inValencia in 1970,Miguel Ángel is amusician and FineArts graduate. As amanwithgreat pictorial talent, his canvasses lack nought: there is harmony andbalance, regardless of the topic. His relationship to the figure is beautifully wrought andgraceful in line. Both his exterior and interior panoramas are impeccable. However, some of his compositions areworthmentioning separately and here I don’t justmean some of his individual and collectiveportraits, where this valenciano shows off his prowess. In another worldwe findhis capricious imaginations of everything that appears tounderlie the radicalismof the theme: that which is unmentionable anddifferent from everythingwe know – because it is not bornof reason. Symbols, in their duality, bringman closer to the supernatural because it concernedwith somethingmuchbigger thanwhat we canperceive within the limits of our own reason. It is comforting to see how art takes thesewonderful licenses by bridging the gapbetween thematerial and the immaterial, between darkness and transparency, between consciousness and unconsciousness, between thebeginning and the end. Dueño de grandes recursos pictóricos, sus lienzos no adolecen de nada: hay armonía y equilibrio, con independencia del tema que toque. Su relación con la figura es de una factura intachable y gran trazo.Suspanorámicasexteriorese interiores, son impecables.Pero algunas de sus composiciones merecen un trato aparte y con ello no me refiero solamente a algunos de sus retratos, individuales o colectivos, donde el valenciano hace gala de toda su maestría. Lo que entra en otra categoría son sus caprichosas visualizaciones sobre todo aquello que parece subyacer bajo la radicalidad de la materia, de aquello que es innombrable y difiere de todo cuanto conocemos, porque no es fruto de la razón. Lo simbólico, en su dualidad, aproxima al hombre a lo sobrenatural, porque atañe a algomuchomásgrandeque loqueacertamosaentender desde los límites de la razón. Reconforta comprobar cómo el arte se permite esas tanmaravillosas licencias que operan tendiendopuentes entre lo tangible y lo intangible, entre oscuridad y transparencia, entre consciencia e inconsciencia, entre el principio y el fin.
