«Ningún rostro anodino» parece ser el lema del joven pintor quesesitúaenel compromisode la realidad tal ycomo lave. El retrato refleja, casi concrueldad, la tristezayamarguraoel enfadoyenojode losmodelosqueutiliza. Lasposeselegidas parecen forzadas, como teatralizadas, para incrementar la representación de la emoción. Con el dinamismo que imprime en el conjuntodel retrato y la expresión facial, noda lugar adudas sobre laéticaelegida.Quieredejar claro loque pasa o loquequierequepase. Una rica paleta de color con sufi- cientes matices le permite trabajar haciendo gala de la maestría que le aporta su formación en realismo. No en vano ha participado en los cursos de pintura que habitualmente impar- te Antonio López, por lo que su téc- nica es inconfundible. Otros jóvenes artistas, de lamismao similar escue- la han sido incluso portada de esta revista, como el catalán Diaz Alamà o el madrileñoBorjaBucesRenard. Theportraits reflect, almost to thepoint of cruelty, the sadness andbitterness, or the anger and resentment of themodels he uses. Theposes he chooses seem forced, theatrical even, to increase thedepictionof the emotion.With thedynamism he impresses onto the whole of theportrait and the facial expression there is no room for doubt about the ethics he has chosen. He hasmadeperfectly clear what is happening andwhat he wants to happen. A richpalette of colour with sufficient tones allows him toworkby showingoff themastery that his realist education has endowed himwith. He has not attended thepainting courses givenbyAntonio López in vain, as his technique is unmistakable. Other young artists of the same or similar schools have also featuredon the cover of thismagazine, such as theCatalanDíazAlamà or the madrileñoBorjaBucesRenard. JorgeAbbad-JaimedeAragón could follow these steps and increase his catalogue of works tomake a progressive evolutionof his own contribution: we are quite sure he has a lot to say on thematter.
