with an illusionofmovement: the form is subordinated to illumination, together with a touch that seems infallible and securebecause it defines a story, a narrationor a lifewith amasterful touch for synthesis. He neither questions nor conditions. It ismore of an approach, a confession. The reachof his scope is immense; one hopes hewill not be stoppedbydecorum as far as his topics go, as it gives us chills to imagine him going evendeeper into themes of a morepsychic nature… Inhis highly suggestive interior scenes, context is onoccasion simplified to thepoint of vagueness, of ablurred stage; something that brings a great artistic value to the composition. The figure is fresh, limpid andprofound in its expression and seems to speak tous of thedurable, the fragile, the ephemeral and the intangible through everyday stories and family scenes. Pieces stolen from the fleeting, fragments of memory that survive oblivion, pieces of stories lived and remembered thus. Our cover page calls forthpresences and absences in themidst of a stage where light and veileddarkness, desire anddecay,memory andoblivion all play off eachother. It is oncemore that inexorable light that lies behind everything that overcomes the unease that touches old age,movingbetween melancholy and a vacuum, opening up apath through the translucence of a mediatinggauze that, just like a theatre curtain, linksmoments, spaces and transits.
